Giorgio Signorello – Autorenprofil

Giorgio Signorello, born in Palermo (Italy) in 1983, pursued his undergraduate education in physcis engineering at Politenico di Milano (Italy) and in 2008 received two MSc degrees from Politecnico di Milano and Chalmers University of Technology (Sweden) for his work on high TC superconducting devices. In 2009, after an internship at ABB Corporate Research (Switzerland), Giorgio joined IBM Research – Zurich as a Predoctoral researcher and in 2013 was awarded a PhD from University of Basel (Switzerland) for his optical spectroscopy study on GaAs nanowires. His current research interests include optical spectroscopy of semiconducting nanostructures, the effect of mechanical strain on semiconducting nanowires and nanoscale device fabrication.
