Agriculture is undoubtedly an engine of economic growth as well as an effective tool for combating rural poverty; this is the objective of the new strategy Green Morocco Plan which has created a new dynamic in the agricultural sector and which is already beginning to bear fruit. Agriculture is indeed at the center of concern for sustainable development and food security. In addition to its contribution to the economy of nearly 14% of the GDP, its real socio-economic impact is much higher, in particular, thanks to its effects of upstream and downstream training and through the final consumption of households.

This report presents, through the statistics of agricultural production, and the evolution of the main indicators of the agricultural sector: the macroeconomic position of agriculture and food in Morocco; the economic transformation of agriculture and manufacturing resources; Costs in agriculture and patterns of labor productivity, intensity and profitability of production; macroeconomic policy and agricultural policy.
