Born in 1965 in Kosice, Czechoslovakia, graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Technical University in Kosice (Slovak Republic), as well as from Faculty of Sciences, Department of Phy-sics of Solids, P.J.Safarik University in Kosice, Dr.Ladislav Ceniga, DSc., a research professor in a field of mechanics of solid continuum, works on mathematical models of stresses of different origins (thermal expansion, phase transformations, hydrogen, coherent interfaces, intestitial atoms) and on mathematical models of the stress-related material phenomena and mechanical properties in composite materials.
