Beschreibung

With the International Radar Symposium 2013, the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH) in co-operation with the German Institute of Navigation (DGON) continues to organize the series of very successful international radar symposia, which started in 1998 in Munich (IRS 98) and were followed by GRS 2000 in Berlin, GRS 2002 in Bonn, IRS 2003 in Dresden, IRS 2004 in Warsaw, IRS 2005 in Berlin again, the IRS 2006 event in Krakow, the outstanding IRS 2007 in Cologne, the IRS 2008 in Wroclaw, the IRS 2009 in Hamburg, the IRS 2010 in Vilnius (capital city of Lithuania), the IRS 2013 in Leipzig, and the IRS 2012 in Warsaw. After a ten-year cycle the IRS 2013 is held again in the beautiful city of Dresden in Germany.

Due to the rapid development of analog and digital technologies, radar technique is still an expanding technical and economical segment with practical applications in the civilian as well as the military area. The world-wide family of radar researchers and experts is quite small and it is always a pleasure to meet scientists, engineers, and international experts to discuss new ideas, latest research results and future developments. High-level presentations will allow each participant to get an in-depth view on the current status of radar systems and components in all fields and aspects of several applications as well as on future research programmes and developments.
