Dynamics of magnetic vortices and antivortices studied by ferromagnetic absorption spectroscopy and transmission x-ray microscopy

Michael Martens – Author profile

Michael Martens, born 1980 in Hamburg, studied physics at the University of Hamburg where he received his diploma degree in 2008. His diploma thesis, accomplished in the group of Prof. Ulrich Merkt, dealt with current induced magnetization dynamics. He continued and deepened this work during his doctoral thesis using advanced characterization methods such as time-resolved magnetic x-ray microscopy. Michael Martens received his Dr. rer. nat. degree from the University of Hamburg in 2014.
