Mohammad Sadegh Taskhiri was a doctoral student and research member of the DFG Research Training Group 1703, “Resource Efficiency in Inter-organizational Networks,” at Georg-August-Universität Göttingen. The research training group focuses on developing and applying methods to improve the efficient use of wood and wood by-products in inter-organizational production processes. With his background in industrial ecology and industrial engineering, he contributes to the research training group by presenting a decision support approach to model a logistics network for wood flows from by-products and cascade utilization. In his work, he provides answers to the questions of what the consequences of the cascade utilization are for economic and environmental results in the logistics networks for wood flows from by-products and waste wood.
His current interests also lie in quantitative research related to the influences of uncertainty on the raw material availability and quality for the economic and the environmental results in the logistics networks for renewable resources.
