Development of process to remove oligomers and suppress their formation in aging fuels by adsorbing the precursors of their aging procedure using adsorbents

Jerome Desire Aliebakaa Kpan – Author profile

Dr. Jerome Desire Aliebakaa Kpan is an accomplished scientist and academic with expertise in fuel technology and adsorbent materials. Hailing from Konkonpari in the Nadowli-Kaleo District of Ghana’s Upper West Region, Dr. Kpan’s academic journey began at St. Francis Xavier Jnr Seminary in Wa, followed by T.I. Ahmadiyya Secondary School in Kumasi. He holds a Diploma and BSc in Laboratory Technology, as well as a postgraduate Diploma in Education from the University of Cape Coast (UCC), Ghana.
Dr. Kpan furthered his education internationally, earning a Master of Engineering in Analytical Instruments, Measurement, and Sensor Technology from Coburg University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Germany and a Doctorate in Natural Sciences from Leuphana University of Lüneburg, Germany.
An innovative researcher, Dr. Kpan has made significant contributions to suppressing fuel degradation using adsorbents. His doctoral research focused on developing a novel process to remove and suppress the formation of oligomers in aging fuels by adsorbing precursors responsible for degradation. His work has critical implications for the petroleum and biofuel industries, offering practical solutions to enhance fuel stability, improve efficiency, and reduce operational costs.
Dr. Kpan’s findings have been widely published in academic journals, and he has presented at numerous international conferences. By advancing cleaner and more sustainable energy solutions, Dr. Kpan is helping shape a more sustainable future in energy technology.
