EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
2008-2012 Kassel University, Germany granted PhD in Agricultural Sciences with very good mark. PhD research topic was entitled as ’ Genetic mapping of resistance to race Ug99 of Puccinia graminis f. sp. tritici, diversity analysis and identification of stem rust resistance genes in Ethiopian tetraploid wheats’.
2003-2005 Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia granted MSc degree in Biology (Applied Genetics) with CGPA of 3.62. My MSc research topic was entitled:- Genetical Studies on Phenotypic Stability & Adaptability for Yield & its Components of Durum Wheat (Triticum turgidum L. Var. durum)
1997-2000 Debub University, Ethiopia granted BSc degree in Agriculture (Plant Sciences) with CGPA of 3.19.
1993-1996 Ethiopian School Leaving Certificate Examination (ESLCE), Abiyot Kirs Senior Secondary High School, ESLCE Certificate with CGPA of 3.40.
PROFESSIONAL RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
January 1, 2013 – present Research fellow in Gene and Genome Mapping unit of the Cytogenetics Department of Leibniz Institute of Plant Genetics and Crop Plant Research (IPK), Gatersleben, Germany.
April 1, 2009-December 20, 2012: PhD student in Kassel University, Germany in collaboration with IPK.
