The Kompetenzzentrum Frau und Auto is an interdisciplinary research group that investigates the wishes and needs of female drivers from the perspectives of the fields of marketing / market research, design, social work, and manufacturing and design engineering.
In October and November 2007, a total of 81 women of all age and occupational groups were interviewed in a qualitative survey about their first car, the car they currently drive, and their dream car.
A standardised moderation guide was used to moderate the interviews. The survey was conducted by students in the marketing seminar of the Hochschule Niederrhein, FB Wirtschaftswissenschaften.
