Three types of high manganese alloy, i.e. Fe-21.6Mn-0.38C, Fe-23.2Mn-0.57C and Fe-28.0Mn-0.28C were studied in the current work. The microstructure and texture evolution of these alloys during deformation and subsequent annealing was characterized mainly by means of optical microscopy, EBSD, TEM and X-ray Goniometry. Recrystallization kinetics of these alloys was addressed. The dependence of chemical composition and deformation strain on recrystallization kinetics and the fully recrystallized microstructure were analyzed.
