The joint project “e-home Energieprojekt 2020” (duration: 07/2011 to 06/2016) investigated the changing tasks and requirements for electricity grids arising from the integration of decentralised generation plants and additional loads into electrical distribution grids.
To this end, Avacon AG equipped 32 households near Bremen with PV systems, battery storage units, electric vehicles and smart meters. This report summarises the results of the accompanying scientific research conducted by the Energie-Forschungszentrum Niedersachsen (efzn). The research work of the six participating professorships addressed the topics of the controllable local grid transformer (technology and application potential), battery storage (effects on grid tasks, photovoltaic self-consumption, life cycle assessment), the customer (user behaviour, acceptance and satisfaction) and legal aspects.
