This thesis investigates the combined-cycle gas turbine (CCGT) process under oxyfuel conditions with regard to the parameters influencing the net efficiency. For this purpose, a conventional CCGT power plant is modelled for the air-fired case and adapted for operation under oxyfuel conditions. The overall process analysis also includes the modelling of the oxygen supply by means of cryogenic air separation and the processing of the CO₂. Two variants are considered for the gas turbine of the CCGT power plant, differing in their combustion concept, i.e. single-stage and sequential combustion. The overall process is modelled in EBSILON®Professional. The sub-processes of air separation and CO₂ processing are modelled with ASPEN Plus®. Owing to the high pressure ratios under oxyfuel conditions, a model was developed in this work with which the polytropic efficiency of the gas turbine compressor can be calculated as a function of the pressure ratio without having to specify a detailed compressor geometry beforehand.
