This book undertakes a detailed examination of the case history (anamnesis), one of the oldest diagnostic tools, specifically in the field of children and adolescents and, within this, specifically in the psychological-psychiatric domain. Knowledge of, and practical experience with, a large number of different anamnesis schemes in this field led the authors over the years to the scheme presented here, which, on account of its methodologically sound usefulness, they can recommend for practice with good reason and consider particularly useful for the child and adolescent psychotherapeutic consultation. The book sets out both the background to the individual questions and the results of the authors’ own studies using this anamnesis scheme. The guideline can serve as a master copy for reproduction, and the recording form makes it possible to process the data from a scientific perspective, both within an individual practice and in comparisons between practices.
