This work considers the exclusive allocation of subcarriers inside an OFDM-FDMA-based system with multiple users. Optimal as well as heuristic allocation schemes are compared. Another aspect of these schemes is to provide each user inside the system with a fair share of subcarriers. Allocation schemes are introduced, which allow a flexible balance between high data rates and fairness inside the system.
