Magnetization Reversal in Cylindrical Nanowires and in Nanowires with Perpendicular Magnetic Anisotropy

Judith Kimling – Author profile

Judith Kimling, born as Judith Valentina Moser in 1981, grew up in Aalen, Germany and studied Physics at the University of Konstanz where she received her diploma degree in 2007. Since her pracitcal study semester at the Centre for Microphotonics in Melbourne, Australia, she has gained research experience in several fields ranging from nanofabrication, photolumineszence spectroscopy, and magnetoresistance measurements to magnetic imaging. The focus of her doctoral thesis lies on magnetization reversal in nanowires and the characterization using x-ray based methods as photoemission electron microscopy. Judith Kimling received her Dr. rer. nat. degree from the University of Hamburg in 2012.

In 2013 Judith Kimling moved with her husband and their two daughters to Champaign, USA, to join the Institute of Materials Science and Engineering of the University of Illinois as a Postdoctoral Research Associate.
