This book addresses the question of method within the field of tension between movement science and sport pedagogy, with particular attention to teaching practice. The complexity of teaching and learning processes, and the associated multi-perspectivity of academic and practical approaches to teaching, calls for interdisciplinary thinking and working. In this sense, the present work is conceived as a study book. The body of the text is broken up throughout by a total of almost 100 assignments and reflection questions. This pool of questions helps readers to develop their own subject-didactic position by weighing up alternatives. According to the underlying approach to university teaching, knowledge about methods should not simply be learned, handed down and believed. Rather, students should question and examine what is presented to them with a curious eye on their own practice, form their own picture and adopt a standpoint. In terms of content, alongside the foundations of movement pedagogy, the focus is placed on the fields of experiential learning and coordination learning.
