This work addresses the development and optimisation of terahertz spectroscopy systems, with the objective of making these systems marketable as industrial sensor technology.
Within the scope of this work, new system concepts are developed and investigated. The delay lines as important key components as well as the reflection configuration of the THz systems are the focus here. In addition, potential application scenarios are examined that can contribute to the acceptance and establishment of the systems in an industrial environment. With the THz-QTDS systems, a particularly cost-effective and promising alternative is considered. With a new system concept, these demonstrate the potential to be used in the long term as an industrial measurement method at the lower end of the price scale.
