The main contribution of this work to the winding theory of electrical machines lies in the introduction of a unified and deterministic method for the analysis and design of winding topologies. In order to explain this new idea more comprehensibly, four different “languages” are used. These include the mathematical formulation of the method through the application of matrix notation, the graphical representation of the method through newly introduced graphical objects, the implementation of the method in the high-level programming language Python, and the formulation of the method in the English language.
