The pulsed operation of power electronics gives rise to parasitic voltages – such as the bearing voltage – in the electrical machine. This leads to bearing currents or interference with radio reception in electric or hybrid vehicles.

This work addresses the reduction of these effects through the selection of a suitable measure within the electrical machine. To this end, a high-frequency model is first developed. Simulations using this model then identify a suitable solution. The measure developed is designed by means of FEM for use in an induction machine and implemented in a prototype. Finally, the results of the test bench measurements are compared with a conventional machine and used to validate the simulations.
