In the chemical industry, intensifying processes is key to improving both efficiency and sustainability. This work introduces the novel X-scaling approach, a method designed to enable reliable process transfer across different scales and material systems. A decades-old agrochemical process is successfully transferred from conventional bubble columns to a jet loop reactor (JLR), offering enhanced mass transfer performance, operational simplicity, and scalability. By addressing fundamental limitations of the original process, the study provides experimental data that demonstrate the JLR’s potential for more resource-efficient and environmentally friendly industrial applications.
