Aim of the present work is the investigation and derivation of a novel heating and cooling system for a battery-electric vehicle. The system is based on two approaches: On the one hand, a compact refrigerant circuit serves the central provision of heating and cooling capacity. On the other hand, thermal sources and sinks are connected in a simple manner via secondary circuits. Within the scope of this work, novel methods for the systematic derivation of functions, operating strategies, circuit diagrams and simulation models for such a system are developed with the aid of graph theory.
