The present study deals with the computation of the temperature of automotive electronic systems submitted to time-dependent thermal loads. In order to ensure a reliable operation of electronic devices in a passenger car, it is of particular importance to predict the operating time period of the system at each phase of the development process. In this respect, several innovative coupling codes strategies have been proposed according to the convective boundary conditions for the computation of the different heat transfer modes and validated.
