Photogrammetric evaluation of crash tests using so-called stationary cameras is an established method for analysing vehicle and dummy movements and provides important information for assessing virtual computational models. To date, photogrammetric analyses have rarely been carried out inside the vehicle, since movements, deformation and confined spatial conditions make it difficult to determine the interior and exterior orientation of the measuring system. This work presents a system that makes it possible to carry out precise measurements of distances inside the vehicle during a crash test using fibre-optic endoscopes connected to high-speed cameras. Furthermore, a method is developed that makes it possible to minimise the effects of movements of the principal point on the measured values.
