The Magnetism has fascinated humankind at least since Thales of Miletus (634–546 BC) described this phenomenon in naturally occurring magnetite 98. Today, magnetism is an active field of research in which new discoveries continue to be made and from which technical developments have emerged that are now indispensable in everyday life. Some of the many applications of magnets are electric motors, data storage devices such as hard disks and main memory, or loudspeakers [25,98]. The rapid advances in nanoscale structuring and microscopy have ushered in a new era of magnetism research.
