It is shown that the independence of material, i.e. of atomic mass, observed in K. v. Klitzing’s quantum Hall effect, in G. Galilei’s pendulum motion effect, in the thermal radiation effects and in the Avogadro-Loschmidt effect, makes it possible to reveal unexpected statements about the structure of space and time. The theoretical analyses of these experimental data reveal a differentiation of three-dimensional space, whereby gravitation represents a quantity related to one-dimensional space, causal electromagnetism or frequency (i.e. time) a quantity related to two-dimensional space, and heat a quantity related to three-dimensional space. Starting from the dimensional postulate of temperature T = [m-1], thermodynamics is described as a thermal radiation phenomenon and Wien’s radiation law is presented as a probability effect of photons related to the fine-structure constant. The existence of organic life is linked to the value of the Avogadro-Loschmidt number. It is shown that the fine-structure constant and Wien’s displacement constant determine the mass-space-time structure of the cosmos. The insights presented lead to new metaphysical-theological approaches.
