Doctoral theses often form the basis for innovative further developments of systems, products and processes.
The volume “Innovative Automobiltechnik III” contains exclusively research topics from the field of automotive engineering that are being addressed or have been developed within the framework of dissertations. The research areas covered extend to fuel technology, innovations in the engine sector and vehicle management. The technical spectrum ranges from engine technology and combustion process development through renewable fuels to hazard analyses in road traffic and driver assistance systems. Methodologically, in addition to theoretical considerations, elaborate simulations and test benches are used in particular.
The fourteen contributions in this volume were presented and discussed at the Wissenschaftssymposium Automobiltechnik on 21 and 22 March 2012 in Braunschweig.
