The topicality surrounding sport shooting remains palpable in the media and provides anchor points for public debate. This research project therefore examines the question of what potential active participation in club sport offers children and young people.

At the centre of this multi-perspective evaluation stands the pedagogical concept of Bildung, which is examined by means of a sport-pedagogical and sport-psychological research design that, on the quantitative level, argumentatively pursues an approach via emotion regulation and, on the qualitative level, analytically opens up the link between theory and the field of practice. The aim is, on the one hand, to make the actual state of personality measurable and, on the other hand, to generate training effects conceptually, i.e. the target state.

The findings are intended to highlight the values, socialisation effects and educational achievements of club sport, both specific to the sport in question and in general terms.
